We stayed at Duchesse apartment in the Marais district. We met Isabelle few hours after we arrived. She gave as a small tour around the apartment. The apartment has everything you need (coffee, tea, sugar, salt/pepper, washing liquid, pots, pans, dishes and glasses, even electrical converters). Location was great: few minutes from Pompidou Center, 7-10min walk from Hotel de Ville. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. The supermarket was just around the corner. We also enjoyed free internet and free international phone calls to keep in touch with friends and family. The only thing that wasn�t working when we arrived was one of the light fixtures in the living room, but it was fixed very fast, while we were out for a walk. Isabelle was very helpful and took care of it the next day. Our deposit was returned to us few days after we came home and it was pleasure renting from Isabelle. We will definitely come back to Paris and we will try other apartment rented by Isabelle.

Although I have visited Paris many times in the past 20 years, I have never before stayed in an apartment. I will never stay in a hotel again! Isabelle made reserving by internet quick and easy and answered all my questions promptly. The Duchesse apartment was just as it was represented on the web site and, although I hesitated to reserve a one bedroom apartment for four people, the Duchesse met our needs very well. The accommodations in the apartment were far more comfortable and considerably less expensive than the two hotel rooms I had planned to reserve for myself and my three daughters in a hotel I have stayed at many times on the Left Bank. The apartment allowed us to spend all our time together - not divided between two fairly cramped hotel rooms. What we most appreciated: the large bathroom, shower, towel drying racks and adequate lighting/shelf space in the bathroom. Hotel bathrooms/showers can be quite minimal! The separate WC maximized our use for 4 people.
Also the commodious closet - adequate shelf space, hanging space and hangers for four women!I feared two of us would have to live out of suitcases in the living room, but we were able to completely unpack - a big plus.
Free WiFi and international calls - much used and appreciated!
A dishwasher!! since we ate all breakfasts in - saving more $$
Comfortable beds - even the two day beds - and adequate linens.
Secure building and an elevator.
Interesting AC - two of the days of our 8 day stay were quite warm!
so we put the AC to good use.
There was a surprising amount of noise at night on what seemed to be a "quiet" street, but I heard none of it in the back bedroom - and those sleeping in the front room were not bothered if they either closed the windows or slept with music/ear plugs. My daughters appreciated the lively night life near Pompidou Center!

Everything about the Duchesse apartment was perfect. It is so nice to come "home" after a long day of sightseeing to such lovely accommodations. We loved having our tea and fresh pastries for breakfast in the apartment before we set out for the day. Another treat was seeing all the children and their parents on the way to school in the morning. Isabelle made everything so easy and we felt very
confident about the financial arrangements.

We are dreaming about our next trip!

Our first VRBO rental. Was a bit apprehensive., but: Duchesse apartment precisely as described. Everything working & ship shape. All arrangements uncomplicated & efficient. Appreciated good bath/shower, washing machine, kitchenette, elevator. Choice of grocery stores nearby. Metro an easy walk, as were several restaurants. Apartment notebook helpful in getting started. Will be back!

My wife and I spent one weak in the Duchesse apartment with our 5 months old daughter.
Every thing was exactly as it appears on internet with no surprise. The apartment was clean and full equipped. It was the best solution that we could have found having our little daughter with us; Isabelle provided us with a baby crib and in the room we had enough space to sleep all together. We enjoyed our staying very much and appreciated the very well organized way of working of Isabelle. The only reason not to suggest to somebody else this opportunity is just because we could not find the availability of the apartment when we will be back to Paris!

Hi, We stayed in the Duchesse apartment and thoroughly enjoyed it. For anyone who has never been to a Paris hotel, I have to tell you that what you get in an apartment is so much better for the money. The place is clean with fast broadband, cable tv, washing machine , dishwasher etc. Very spacious and very close to the Pompidou centre and is in a part of the Marais that is very pleasant and not full of tourists.

We rented Isabelle's Duchesse apartment with 2 couples. This was perfectly fine as there was a bedroom with a double bed and 2 single beds in the living room that could easily be put together. The location was perfect for us as we had to work only 5 minutes away from the apartment.

The apartment was clean, all appliances were provided: oven, toaster, coffee machine, washing machine, television, .....
The free internet and long distance calls are also a plus.

We booked the apartment last minute, but everything went extremely smooth. We actually have nothing bad to say, we enjoyed our
stay! And we will be renting an apartment from Isabelle again!!!

This is a lovely apartment, so close to the Pompidou Centre, the Metro and located in the lovely Marais area with it's little shops and restaurants. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, we slept on the sofa bed in the living room and put the kids in the double bed
in the bedroom. It is perfectly comfortable if you don't want the expense of a 2 bedroom apartment. We bought fresh bread and croissants every morning and there are supermarkets within 5 mins. Lovely and warm even in January. Enjoyed the stylish decor and large bathroom with bath and shower. Plenty of storage. Arriving late in the evening was not a problem with the secure key box in the building. Isabelle responded very quickly to all our enquiries. We'll be back!

Isabelle was fantastic. We got a great place at the last minute. (Easy walking distance to Notre Dame.) Check in was really easy and everything was exactly as described. The apartment was very, very clean and neat when we arrived. Isabelle was responsive when I needed to contact her (there was no problem) and everything was handled professionally throughout the transaction. I have rented in Paris before and would highly recommend Isabelle to friends or family who are travelling.

We hosted a little dinner for four with some friends who live in the Paris area and they were very impressed with our great apartment. (Oh, it's a palace!)

Wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we definitely will.

We enjoyed our stay at the Duchesse apartment, finding it well-appointed, comfortable, and in a great location. Isabelle�s use of a lock box to provide the key makes the check-in process very convenient. This apartment (including kitchen and washing machine) made family travel to Paris comfortable and convenient. I recommend Isabelle and her apartment highly.

Isabelle was great to work with and very good about following up with us. She was able to find us a place to stay although we had been looking at the very last minute. The night before our flight. It was our first time renting an apartment via the internet and in another city no less. The apartment was clean and very nicely decorated and was situated in a good area for us on a quiet street and near the Metro. Isabelle had also kindly included a book with useful information such as where the markets and metro stops were located as well as restaurant recommendations and the phone number for an english speaking cab company. I highly recommend using Isabelle and will contact her again in the future for our future stays in Paris.

Our stay at the Duchesse apartment exceeded our expectations! The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the large bathroom and having a kitchen to prepare some meals. This apartment is a quick walk to 2 metro stations, grocery stores, and restaurants.

We were very lucky that Isabelle had this apartment available as we booked our trip last minute. This was our first time booking an apartment over the internet. Isabelle was very easy to work with, and accurately represented the apartment and amenities. We would definitely work with her again!

What a lovely stay. The Duchesse was so very comfortable with stylish touches throughout and we especially appreciated the renovated bathroom and beautiful living room. We also loved how convenient it was to be on the edge of the 3rd arrondissment next to the Marais and near the Pompidou.

Isabelle's apartments were such a fortunate find and we loved meeting her as well. The whole experience has convinced us that if we purchase a place in Paris, we'd love for her to manage it. As we are web designers, we are planning now to come back to Paris in August for another month of work/play.
