Just want to let anyone out there who might be considering renting an apartment from Isabelle, that everything is so professional, and just as she says it is! The apt. that we chose was only for 2, and not expensive at all, but she provided all that we needed (including a location of the apt. that enabled us to see all of Paris by walking!) and all was clean and well kept. What an experience this trip of a lifetime was, and it all started with apartments by Isabelle, and all the help she gave us. Don't hesitate to take the leap and call her. Sally

I come to Paris twice a year and usually stay in a nondescript hotel but never again! Now that I have encountered Isabelle's apartments and stayed at the cozy Esmeralda I will continue this new tradition. Situated in the Marais it was the best location to see all of Paris. We had morning coffee in "our" flat while listening to Parisian radio. We also cooked 2 delicious dinners with local produce. We were no longer tourists, we felt more like residents of the area. I highly recommend Isabelle's organization. It is very efficient and professional. Everything was done on the internet and her quick responses were always reassuring. This is the best way to see the city of light

I had a dream of studying french in Paris. I rented one of Isabelle's apartments in Marais. It was walking distance to Notre Dame, Pompidou Center, Picasso Museum, the Seine river and was a wonderful cozy apt. We stayed in Paris 37 days and we loved the atmosphere and convenience of the area. Isabelle is a wonderful, lovely person who helped us in many ways during our stay. I would recommend Isabelle to everyone and i will call her before my next trip to Paris. If you need any more information about living in Paris, feel free to call me ....

My sister, Christy, and I stayed in the Esmeralda apartment in the Marais in mid-April.
It was cozy and secure, and we had everything we needed. Although there was lots of activity on the streets, the apartment was quiet. The location on the French 3rd floor was a challenge, especially on arrival when we had to get our luggage up to the apartment. It was easier going down, I invoked the privilege of age and Christy carried it! The location was fantastic—within walking distance of many interesting sights and very close to public transportation.

I had been searching the internet for some time trying to find just the right location for us, but the prospect of submitting my credit card over the internet to a private person left me apprehensive, I admit. Isabelle proved to be a helpful and honest business person, and after our departure she was quick to let me know that the apartment had been checked and my credit card information taken out of her files.

We had a wonderful and funny time in Paris and hope to do it again! Isabelle, leave the "Welcome" sign out for us!

I stayed in the Esmeralda studio apartment for 10 days with my sister. We loved the central location and how cozy and clean the apartment was. There are so many cool places to eat, buy breads and shop in the area. Isabelle was professional and was helpful with answering all my never ending questions (sorry about that). This was my third time to visit Paris and I found it better than staying in a hotel, much better. I can’t wait to return to bring my husband and stay in the Esmeralda or try one of her other apartments. I highly recommend Isabelle’s apartments.

It was wonderful stay in the Esmeralda apartment as we mentioned in our letter to you that we left in the notebook at the apartment.
We enjoyed our staying in Paris very much especially because of the comfortable apartment and the comfortable location.

We've just returned from our third trip to Paris and both of us agree, this was definetely the best accomodations we've had. Isabelle's "Esmeralda" was clean, cheery and in a wonderful part of town - pretty, cobblestone streets, lots of restaurants, stores, cafes, etc etc. The bed was comfortable and we had just about everything we needed, like a coffee maker, an iron, even a hair dryer. We were able to keep food and beverages in the refrigerator so breakfast was always relaxed. Our windows opened into a pretty courtyard. This apartment IS on the fourth floor, so be prepared to climb some stairs! The Esmeralda is close to the Metro station (and a great fromagerie!) and walking distance from the Lourve, Isle St Louis and lots more. Overall, we were very pleased and Isabelle was sweet and helpful. I've already advised my brother to contact her about her other apartment in Italy! We are so glad we didn't get a hotel room. We almost felt like we were Parisians, at least for our time there.Oh, one piece of advice: take the shuttle from the airport! We should have listened to Isabelle! The money we saved taking the train was not worth it!

Isabelles apartments were great...they are much cheaper than a hotel but standards and cleanliness are great...

The apartment we stayed in...'esmeralda' was cute and cozy...perfect for a young couple to stay in while they explore the city. it is in one of the best arrondissements in Paris. Le marais is charming and truely Parisian. There are many cafe's in the area and you are just across the siene (10 min walk) from Notre Dame and St. Chapelle.

Isabelle was organized, courteous and the apartment is just the same with all the necessities of a short trip to Paris. It rained while we were in Paris and we found an umbrella...truely unexpected of even a hotel....

In short, I would recommend esmeralda's apartments for those seeking adventures and to explore Paris and if I go to visit Paris again...I'll definately stay in one of Isabelles apartments again.

Has anyone used apartment-in-france.com/paris by isabelle? I'm thinking of staying in the Esmeralda studio apartment.

I see you posted this back in January 2006 - just wondering - did you decide to stay there or have you been already? I only ask because it is a studio that is currently on my radar.

Yes, I did stay in the Esmeralda studio apartment for 10 days. I really enjoyed it. There are plenty of places to shop and eat just on that street. If you like gelato, go to Amorino just up the street, it's very good.

It was very nice to have the washer (no dryer) and a kitchen. The location was perfect, just a couple blocks from Rue de Rivoli. There is no elevator, so you have to walk up about 4 flights of stairs. There was always plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The shower is small and one person can fit in the bathroom at a time. Previous occupants had left plenty of shampoo and body wash, but I had brought my own. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, I liked that. There's a curtained closet, but no dresser to store your undies, etc. You have a view of the courtyard and some sun does come into the studio. The studio looks just like it does in the pictures. I would stay in this studio again.

Isabelle was a wonderful host and made sure I had everything I needed. She's very easy to work with and trustworthy. This was the first time I stayed in an apartment in Paris and I was very happy with my choice. I didn't use the metro much because of the great location.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond - and especially for giving me all that information. It made my decision to take it that much easier. But, unlucky for me, by the time I replied to the agent that I would take the Esmeraldo Studio - it was gone. Ahhh c'est la vie. Perhaps I will be able to get it on another visit.
