Dear Isabelle,

We wanted to thank you for the use of your Princesse apartment during the week before Easter. We had a great time in Paris and afterward in Normandy. We wanted to offer our encouragement to anyone thinking of renting from Isabelle-you can't go wrong. The apartment was exactly as described and in the perfect Latin Quarter location for sight seeing. The Mabillon metro stop nearby was easy to use (and we particularly appreciated the escalator up after a long day of walking!). We thought the apartment was just the right size and had every amenity we could have wanted--for a very fair price.

We particularly enjoyed the nearby restaurants your street is wonderful. We liked the museums especially the natural history museum (with the Paris Zoo) and the Rodin Museum. We also loved the concert we attended at Sainte Chapelle (it was a stroke of good luck to be standing outside the church as they began to sell tickets--truly an extraordinary experience). We would also recommend the Paris Walks
tours (information at the nearby Village Voice English bookstore)--we saw both Montemarte and the nearby churches this way. I also appreciated the fact that the Roman ruins were very close by. All in all an excellent choice for a place to stay in a beautiful city.

Please feel free to have anyone contact us if they want further information on the process of renting the apartment. We have had mostly good experiences in our travels but I know making arrangements via internet can be a scary thing. We can truly say that working with you was a pleasure!

We had never been to France, or Paris, before. We were traveling with our mid to late teenage daughter and son, who were quite adaptable but not experienced at international (did I forget to say we are American?) travel.
My wife found Isabelle's website as we were looking for an "apartment experience" in Paris rather than a hotel type of accomadation. After much deliberation on our end, we clicked the "Inquire" and eventually the "Finalize" buttons and we were committed.

My son and I arrived at Princesse, jet lagged but with our luggage while my wife and daughter arrived in the same state of fatigue (traveling from a different departure site) but without their luggage (did I mention "irritable?"). And then, walked in Isabelle, to welcome us to Paris and to Princesse. Well first I should say that Princesse was just as we thought it would be, because isabelle's website portrary's it so accurately. And then there was Isabelle, who was so gracious and kind and helpful, making our arrival all the more pleasant.

We loved Paris and we loved Princesse as our home in Paris and all this was possible because Isabelle rewarded our trust by proving to be absoluteley reliable in what she represented. Princesse was just as photographed in Isabelle's website; more to the point, Princesse's loaction in St Germain des pres was just ideal for us: walking distance to arrondissements 1-7 (of course there are plenty of Metro short cuts to walking within these areas too). We could walk but several blocks and find wonderful cafes or groceries (to buy food for "eating in" at Princesse) but I must admit that the most wonderful "luxury" was coming home to Princesse on the Metro via the #10 Line and exiting at Mabillon Station with its up escalator (no walking up steps as at other close by Metro stops!) after a full day of "on the hoof" site seeing!

Our blind trust in Isabelle was more than rewarded by her complete honesty and truthfulness in what she offered. If you embark on this path, I suspect your expereince will be rewarded, as ours was, too.

Sincerely,

Mike Stadius

Our family stayed in the Princesse apartment in St-Germain-des-Prés, which was wonderful, and within easy walking distance of the Seine and many Paris attractions. The apartment had room for our three children and we were much more comfortable than in a hotel -- having your own kitchen and washing machine makes a huge difference when traveling with kids! Isabelle was very helpful, and we booked the apartment through the Web site. We will definitely do this again in the future.

My husband and our two children, Kate (10) and Matthew (13) stayed at Isabelle's Princess Apartment in the St Germain area. All the arrangements worked perfectly and the apartment was very clean and well set up on our arrival. Its location is great, just minutes from the train which allowed us to travel all over Paris without much difficulty; and we were in walking distance to Notre Dame. The area is very French and very charming. I can highly recommend this apartment in particular and I am sure that given the attention Isabelle pays to detail, any of her apartments will be terrific.

Our trip to Paris was terrific, thanks in large part to Isabelle, and her amazing 1bdrm duplex apartment on Rue Princess. Very comfortable, well furnished, clean and safe.
The location was incredibe...3 subway stations within 5 min, many top restaurants and cafes, numerous walkable tourist sites, a supermarket, and high end shopping.
We too were concerned about renting an apt sight unseen and over the internet. Do yourself a favor though, rent one of Isabelle's apts and then your only concern will be do you have enough time in Paris to see all the sites !!
Her courtesty, professionalism, product and value should not be overlooked. We'll be back !!

P.S. Bluvan is the way to go for your ground transportation to/from airport.

My family, 2 adulsts with a 11 years old kid, plan to go to Paris on April 2007 for 8 nights. We are thinking about renting an aparment. We love to stroll on the open market and perfer tostay in an elegant area, center location and close to lots of attractions. Any suggestions? I could not decide which area is better, St Germain, Rue Cler or Rue Mouffetard. Any advise is appreciated.

St Germain is very upscale, and central esp if not too far from the Seine. Some sections of the 7th are very nice but not Rue Cler. While not seedy or anything, Rue Cler is just a market street with cafes and shops. Nothing real fancy.

I just went the web site http://www.apartment-in-france.com/. I love the Isabelle's Princess Apartment in the St Germain area in Saint-Germain des prés. It is about 1000 euro a week. I was in other web site before and most are about 1400-1600 euro a week. I am wondering is Isabelle's Princess Apartment central enough. Is there any open market close by or good bakery. I love market and bakery. Thank you.

The Princess and the Mona Lisa apartments look great and both are close to the center of things. I bookmarked them for our next trip to Paris. We paid 1183 Euros for 7 nights at Hotel Henri IV (and loved the hotel and the location) but these apartments are a bargain. Please post a review on this forum if you choose either ot them.

I contacted the web site and the owner Isabelle is very friendly. But the problem is Princess apartments is booked for end of March 2007 to April 2007 already. It is so popular!
Also I could not book this much ahead because I won't get an airline ticket 6 month ahead. Without the date set, I don't want to risk the money. Normally they charge 50% to 100% rent for cancellation fee.
Any other good idea?

1bed/1bath apartment, Saint Germain des Pres, Paris

When

April 23 - 30, 2006, 7 nights

Location

Our one bedroom apartment was a lovely apartment located in a fully renovated 18th century building. The furnishings were a combination of antique and contemporary. The living environment was elegant. We loved the large windows that opened to a quiet, private courtyard. It was located down a lovely narrow (very typical Parisian) side street and was in a quiet area (during the day). Across the apartment building was an excellent restaurant called "Henry's" and a couple of bars and other restaurants around the corner.

Nearby Amenities

There was a fresh market around the street and a bakery we visited each morning for chocolate croissants (yum!). We walked to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louve and other sites. There was excellent shopping right around the corner as several restaurants.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furniture was in excellent condition and very nice. The apartment was very clean.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bathroom was beautiful with shower and washbasin.

Kitchen

Kitchen was well equipped with the latest appliances. Since this was our first time to Paris, we didn't cook, but enjoyed the excellent restaurants nearby. The apartment had washer/dryer combination, dishwasher, coffee maker. Kitchen was very clean.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would definitely stay at this apartment again!
