Isabelle,
Here are some of our favorite pictures from our stay in Nov. 2005. As you
can see we, we made stops at the Rodin museum (one of our favorites) and "thought"
about the unique talent of this avant garde artist. Then, we trekked
across town to marveled at the gargoyles of Notre Dame as well as the
amazing sculptures that decorate this amazing church. Of course, no trip
to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Eifel tower. (can't
believe this picture turned out so well...it was about to rain, but i
guess that is what gives the picture its mystic beauty.) The next picture
is a beautiful moment leading up to the Louvre. The air was brisk and
this long walk seemed like something you read about in a Robert Frost poem.
The leaves were falling and everything was golden. Couldn't resist the
photo opportunity. We managed to catch a glimpse of the
Grand Palace from the Siene. Everything in Paris is spectacular. Nothing
like this in Texas. Even the Jardin Luxemburg was beautiful this late in
fall. The mums decorated the entire garden and especially this quiet
treasure tucked away on these pristine grounds. And just in case anyone
cares, everyone was so nice. We had no problems getting locals to take
our picture.
We had a wonderful time. Thanks for making our stay so special.
Danica and Jeff Johnston.

Dear Isabelle,
Here are some of our favourite memories of our trip to Paris in May 2005. As you
can see from some the weather was NOT very kind to us , but the rain did not
dampen our enthusiasm for Paris-we loved it!
Here is a brief description of the photos:
- Me outside your apt-which was SO convenient for all the famous landmarks and
LOADS of places to eat. One of our favourite things was to sit at the window in
the early evening, enjoying a drink and the sights and sounds of Parisienne life
right below us before strolling to one of the neighbourhood restaurants for a
meal. This is John -my husband- doing just that! We were SO lucky with the view
from the apt window -right down to the Seine
- The open -top bus was a GREAT way to, get an over-view of Paris. We made good use of the "hop-on-hop off "system on our 2 day pass.
- These were taken on our last night, on the last trip down (or is it up?) river to see the Eiffel Tower "flashing " as it did at 10pm. To us it epitomised the song "The Bridges of Paris" and was a romantic end to a memorable trip.

Here is a picture of Jeanine and Lauren in the
Tuilleries Garden in early December 2005. It was a wonderful day in Paris
because it was a nice sunny day and many Parisian were out walking and enjoying
the day.
Sincerely,
Chris, Dec 2005

Bonjour Isabelle!
Greetings from sunny Cape Town. We hope you are not too cold in Paris. We miss
it terribly!
I took over a 1000 photos when we were in Paris last May...! It is the artist in
me that goes mad. I have made a collage of some images, which will follow in the
next few messages. I hope you like them!
Warm regards
John and Deon

Isabelle,
Here are some of our favorite pix-- one is of the lover's kissing and the other
is of the Eiffel twinkling at nite as viewed leaning out the window of the
apartment (Marie-Antoinette). I'm looking for another one of us having a picnic
down on the park in front of the apartment... (it was nice of you to provide the
picnic basket).
N_ring is a picture
of Nancy celebrating with champagne in the Eiffel apartment (Marie-Antoinette)
right after I proposed her to at the top of the Eiffel Tower. The other is a
picture of us having a picnic at the little park in front of the apartment after
a long day...
