Ile Saint Louis Paris Ile Saint Louis
While the Ile de la Cité seems overrun
with tourists, the smaller Ile Saint Louis, connected to its neighbour by
a bridge, has a village-like feel and has been an exclusive residential enclave
since the 17th century. Its main street is lined with shops, galleries and
restaurants and is a wonderful place for a stroll. The closest metro
station to reach Ile Saint Louis is Saint Paul, on line #1, which
crosses Paris from East to West. Saint Paul is actually mainly used to reach a
major district of Paris, named "le marais". It is a labyrinth like
district, with many very small medieval streets, which give it an character
similar to Ile
Saint Louis. I rent several
