what people say about paris

The Heart of Paris. This charming apartment is situated in the first arrondissement of Paris; and it is the first for a good reason. This is without a doubt the coeur, the heart of Paris with the Musee du Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay, the Palais Royal, the Concorde Place, the Bibliothèque Nationale (National Library), the Jardin des Tuilleries, and a myriad of cafes and shops along the arcades of rue de Rivoli. Only one block from the Louvre, you will also be within walking distance from the Champs-Elysees, the Opera House.

The apartment itself is on the 3rd floor of a very well maintained 19th century building protected by security code system on a calm and safe street. Fully furnished, decorated  and equipped this one bedroom apartment offers all the comfort and convenience you need to enjoy your time in Paris. It is composed of two main rooms: the living room, which is the principal room has a double bed, a good sized closet, a desk, a TV, a radio, a telephone, books and armchairs, and the bedroom, which is separate, has a single bed, a futon that sleeps one, and a lovely fresco done in pastel colors.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, 4 burner electric stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, and a round table with 2 chairs and a bench. The bathroom is also complete with tub and showerhead, sink and mirror, toilet, and washing machine.

As charming and as comfortable as the apartment is, you will find yourself drawn out by the numerous sites, shops and restaurants just outside your door. This is the most complete neighborhood for culture, beauty, and leisure. The most promenent landmark of the area is the world renowned Museum of the Louvre, an immense collection, thousands of paintings and objets d'art ranging from Egyptian relics to the masters of the renaissance, the most famous piece of the museum being undoubtedly Leonardo DiVinci's Mona Lisa.

Right next to the museum of the Louvre is the Tuilleries Garden, a lovely place for a promenade, not to mention the home of two more lovely museums, the Orangerie and the Jeu de Paume. Cross the Seine on the Pont Des Arts and you will find another treasure of Paris, the Musee d'Orsay, dedicated to a roughly 70 year period in the history of art, 1840-1910, and is home to the masterpieces of the impressionists. The Palais Royal Gardens, Fashion Shows under the arcades, the Bibliothèque Nationale, Richelieu, the Vivienne and Vero Dodat passages, and the Louvre Des Antiquaires (over 250 antique shops) all wait to be discovered.

Entertainment you say?

You could walk to the Opera, see a play at the Comedie Francaise or the Theatre du Palais Royal, or see a film from anywhere around the world in one of the 35 nearby movie theatres. Then of course there are two malls to explore, the Forum Des Halles, and the Carousel du Louvre offering more fashion, couture, books, CD's, and much more. Still this is just a taste, you must see Paris for yourself and enjoy all it has to offer.

See you soon!

"We have felt so comfortable at home in this lovely apartment, that we are more than a little downcast to be packing for our flight. I'm afraid that all your renters must tell you the same things about this great place and its wondersul location, so I will just say that we hope to be back again soon and we will certainly recommend it to our friends. Thank you for all the extra touches"
