Ca va? I have just completed a French Beginners language course which I enjoyed very much. I have enrolled for the next level which I will have completed by April, just before we come to Paris. I hope my basic French helps us get through the regional parts of France as we will be driving through France down to Spain once we leave Paris and I'm not so sure if English is commonly spoken outside Paris, is it? I think I'll be able to book a room, order meals and pay the bill.........that's about all.

So far I have only learnt how to tell you a lot about myself and my family but I still have difficulty understanding French people speaking French as you speak a little fast for me yet. I think I'll be saying "repetez lentment s'il vous plait" a lot when we get there.

Absolutely can't wait to get back to Paris! Have just finished reading a book called Paris Tango by a Sydney photographer living in Le Marias named Carla Coulson. She refers a lot to places near rue de Archives where we stayed in Lancelot & will be staying in Lafayette and other places we are familiar with. It is a fabulous book and my travelling companion Debbie is currently reading it as well. The photographs are spectacular.

Anyway, May will be here before we know it and we'll be in Paris again
