This is one of the most delightful strolls in Paris. On the right we see the river and Ile de la Cité and on the left is a line of plant and pet shops. In the past the pavements used to be lined with parakeets, cocks, guinea pigs, white rabbits and tropical fish but such big displays have been banned by the authorities and now we will find roses, sun flowers and tropical plants instead. The animals are all kept in the shops so we still have a chance to see them.
