The best way of exploring  the seine and Paris is by foot. The walk along the right bank at river level has been obliterated by a motorway, however we can still enjoy a walk for several miles along the left bank of the seine, shaded and in parts still cobbled. It extends from near Gare d’Austerlitz to gare des Invalides. On this walk we can admired not only the river scene but also many of the beautiful buildings in Paris.
